Meeting Spanish author Marta Sanz at book signing in London

Dec 2025 - I had the fortune to hear the Spanish author, Marta Sanz, speak in person about her newly translated "My Clavicle and Other Massive Misalignments" published by akoya publishing this past week. Gathering at the Instituto Cervantes on a rainy Thursday evening in London, we heard her describe her writing process and the experience she had with her amazing translator. As I was sitting there listening to this bilingual discussion, I realized what a genuine pleasure it was to understand both at the same time and to realize how so much is communicated through body language and gestures. It was a true reminder of how important the human experience is and how there is nothing like meeting a writer face-to-face and feeling the emotion behind her words. Truly inspiring.
