The value of spending time in person

Aug 2026 - It's that time of year when many people are away from their desks, giving me some time to look ahead at what I will be working on once September rolls around. For me, it's usually a time for reflection about past projects, current projects and future projects so I often check in with people to see what they're working on. My friend and colleague Adam Salkeld of Digital Learning Associates just sent some new ELT videos from his catalogue, and I found one of them particularly relevant to how I am feeling at the moment regarding work environments and the need for us to meet in person and put more value on our time together. Like many of us, I spend a lot of my working life in front of a screen, but I am finding more and more value in spending time in person - whether that's time in a film studio, in-person meetings or conferences. Flexibility may be key to our job satisfaction, but there's nothing like human interaction in a shared physical space. https://lnkd.in/ei-XWpFX
